Costume National designs new Renault Clio

Costume National creative director Ennio Capasa was at the Triennale Design Museum in Milan Monday to unveil an exciting new collaboration with Renault for fashionable petrolheads.

The companies showed off a commercially available version of the Clio, as well as a show car covered entirely in Italian luxury leather (the same exclusive material used for the road-car’s upholstery).

“Quality and innovation, values we share with Renault, have always been part of our tradition,” Capasa told WWD.

Baptized the ‘Clio Costume National’, the car will be available in white, gray and black color schemes and will range in price from €15,550 to €18,300.

It’s not Costume National’s first automotive project: the brand has previously worked on a customized Aston Martin DBS Coupe Zagato Centennial as well as the 2007 Alfa Romeo 147 C’N’C Costume National.

Affordable cars with high fashion link-ups are a clear trend, with fellow Italians Fiat and Gucci also recently getting together for a number of special editions of the Fiat 500
