CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winners announced

Monday night saw the tenth anniversary of the prize, which supports emerging talent in the fashion industry, with a star-studded bash featuring actress Julianne Moore and designer Tom Ford.  

The $300,000 cash prize organized by the CFDA and Vogue magazine went to the two designers behind hip New York-based menswear brand Public School

The two runners-up, Marc Alary of Marc Alary Jewelry and Juan Carlos Obando, each receive funding for $100,000, and all three winners will get specialized business mentoring from some of the industry’s biggest names. 

Over the last decade the program has provided more than $3.8 million in funding to 30 designers and brands. Previous winners include Franco-American talent Joseph Altuzarra, Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough of Proenza Schouler, and current Balenciaga creative director Alexander Wang.
