Bump

Bump fabric is an interlining fabric, generally made from a blend of cotton and other fibres. It is loosely woven and heavy and is brushed to give a softer fleeced feel and appearance. It is mainly used for interlining curtains and other furnishings as it minimises drafts and helps the curtains to hang better. It can also be used as a wadding or filling for embroidery and between the two layers of fabric when appliquéing.

  1. Thank you! I just started a job at “calico” – a home fabric ‘spa”. Only explanation I could find for the purpose of bump. Good for scotland winter nights!!
