Thakoon

Thakoon Women Autumn-Winter 2015 – A hippie-chick (or shall I say hippie-chic) mood has clearly inspired Thakoon Panichgul with his bohemian collection that walked today at New York Fashion Week.

The sheer materials covered in floral prints float delicately off of the models, in ombre autumn colors, giving a from festival-to-catwalk taste of what’s coming in trend for the end of the year. The first look sums up what’s coming from the rest of the collection – a contrasting co-ord of bright colors, grey and orange stripes complimenting the orange and blue stripes of the woolen top, which is also embellished with black detail – an absolutely vision. On top of this, a coat but not just any coat, the murky shades of brown, orange and yellow scream against the clothes it’s revealing.

Later, pink silk enters the equation – with beautifully decorated floral pieces are layered over white and pastel blue clothing, creating a very different aesthetic feel to the first pieces that marched through.

Layered with swanky suit trousers and loose fitted dresses, accessorized with knee-high boots in bright reds and black, Thakoon has been one of the most interesting aesthetics so far.
