This year Adidas gave the four dozen McDonald’s All-American Game incredible signature footwear and athletic wear. Exclusive Sneakers
When the United States’ top high school athletes battle it out on the courts, on March 27, they will be wearing Adidas exclusive sneakers designed for them. The top sneakers for boys, the Adidas shoes come in bold flashy colorways. The shoes include the Adidas N3XT L3V3L, the Marquee Boost Low, and the Dame 5s. The bold colors of the Dame 5s are inspired by the Powerade flavors Lemon Lime and Mountain Berry Blast. The sleek eye-popping design provides high performance and style for the young basketball stars.
The Harden Vol. 3 shoes have a special place. Says senior manager of Adidas sports marketing, “With Harden having a background as a McDonald’s All-American himself, this is a really special moment for him. He remembers that game, he remembers the impact it had…he wants to ensure that the kids today have a chance to wear his product.”
With the N3XT L3V3L shoes, Adidas is pushing sneaker technology limits. The shoes are completely laceless. Top players will have an opportunity to showcase the unique shoes at the games. The shoes have technology that molds to the player’s feet as they play.
Sleek Jerseys
Among the athletic wear Adidas gave to the young athletes are sleek jerseys. They feature unique ClimaCool ventilation and additional breathability. This Adidas technology provides additional moisture control and allows the fabric to breath. The jerseys also adapt to body temperatures. ClimaCool designers developed the fabric after studying thermal images of athletes. The jerseys for the All-American Games come in an array of colors like teal, purple, and black with red trim. Athletes had their choice of jerseys and footwear. The jerseys feature customizable artwork.
Sustainability
Adidas partnered with McDonalds to design footwear and athletic wear with the environment in mind. Each of the materials had a sustainability-minded production process.
About the Game
The All-Star basketball game features the best high school boys from 2019. The elite group was selected out of over two thousand nominees. DeMatha Catholic High School coach Morgan Wootten chaired the selection committee. Thirteen schools are represented in the games, ranging from New York to Florida to Washington and California. The All-Star game will take place in Atlanta. The State Farm Arena will host the annual event.
The game is a year-round game celebrating talented high school basketball excellence both on and off the courts. The rich history of the All-Star basketball game includes talented athletes that are top recruits for the NBA’s top teams. The games benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities and spotlights the Archways to Opportunity educational access program.
The McDonald’s All-American games continue to be an opportunity to celebrate young people and continue collaborations between powerhouses like Adidas and McDonald’s.
