Mugler Women Spring Summer 2016

Known for his body sculpting and sensual designs, David Koma’s SS16 collection for Mugler uses a small circle motif to interlink all of the pieces.  There were plenty of nautical vibes as models glided down the catwalk in deconstructed sailor girl dresses and bardot top style dresses with pieces of silver metallic leather fluttering off them.  Koma paired his outfits with mannish flat black brogues and mule heels, which added a sense of chicness to his designs.

A silver dress made to look as though it was made out of interlinking metal chains was a trademark piece of Koma’s sultry aesthetic, and leather was worked into constructing revealing, silhouette enhancing dresses and trench coats.  Unlike other designers who have favoured a more natural make up look, Koma sent his models down the runway with brown smoky eyes and lashings of bronzer.  His collection is unabashedly, out-and-out screen siren sexy.
