Spring-Summer 2014 – Vivienne Westwood never fails to shock her audience and this collection does not disappoint. There’s almost everything involved and it has definitely been designed for the fun-loving man who likes to experiment with patterns and cultures. There’s tartan (what else did we expect?) which contrasts with the Islamic tessellation of patterns and the Indian patterns of swirls and tigers There are so many different patterns, all together to create a fusion of colour and inspiration. There’s also slogans, inspiration from the French revolution, dip-dying, smart trousers and political messages; all of the things we would expect from a Vivienne Westwood collection. To make this collection feel very Spring/Summer there are a lot of shorts, baggy harem trousers and flip flops as well as formal three piece suits in white.
