Autumn-Winter 2010/11 – A boxing ring in the middle of a fashion show set the scene immediately for Jean Paul Gaultier’s AW 2010 collection. He combined couture with sportswear which resulted in red leather biker trousers teamed with a black jersey hoodie, heavy knits in sports shapes, pinstripe kilts with satin vests, track pant jumpsuits and velvet leggings. Suits made out of grey jersey material and baggy denim shorts took this theme further, and I particularly liked the hooded shirts and long cape like suit jackets. His leather boxing boots are the perfect accessory for autumn winter. A very Gaultier take on sportswear.
