Elie Saab Women Spring Summer 2016 –

Elie Saab’s style of overt femininity and sheer beauty was demonstrated in his beautiful SS16 collection.  Florals and lace were used to fashion charming dresses and classic floor sweeping tiered gowns, and lace up knee high sandals added a touch of sexiness to the otherwise girly collection.  Sheer georgette and lace were used to accentuate the womanly shape, while dresses were draped over the body and designed to emphasise the waist.  A black crochet playsuit with long embroidered sleeves added a folksy twist, while vertical lines of differing sizes adorned a sophisticated suit jacket and shorts.

A leather dress also was laser cut into an intricate pattern, and blouses were everywhere, all with ruffles, lace, and bell sleeves.  Models were made up with golden, pretty make up, and their hair fell down their backs in loose waves.  In true Saab style, the collection was one of feminine elegance.
