Understanding differences between natural and synthetic wigs

Buying a wig for the first time can be a challenge, especially if you know nothing about wigs. It would be very easy to end up with the wrong product if you go straight to the wig shop without the right information. Of course, the in-store salespeople can help you make a good decision, but it is still recommended that you do a little research before buying wigs. One of the first things you need to know about
wigs is that they come in two different types: natural and synthetic. Natural wigs are made from real human hair while synthetic wigs are made from synthetic fibers. You can find various types of wigs in these both options like loose deep wave hair, T part wig or u part part wigs etc.

Aside from this obvious fact, there are many other differences between natural and synthetic wigs.Understanding these differences is crucial when deciding which particular wig to buy for your personal use. Appearance Since natural wigs are made from real hair, they usually look more like the genuine article although there are some high quality synthetic brands these days that can pass for real hair, unless you inspect the strands closely.Natural wigs also feel much smoother and softer while
many synthetic wigs immediately feel fake to the touch.

Styling Natural wigs is much more versatile when it comes to styling as they can be modified with curling irons, blow dryers, straighteners and other devices that use heat. Just like human hair, a human hair wig can be restyled as often as you like. HD lace wigs are considered best when it comes to the styling as it looks same as natural. The downside of this is that you have to style it after every wash, which can definitely take a considerable amount of time. Synthetic wigs, on the other hand, should not be styled with heating products as the heat will ruin the wig fibers.

However, synthetic wigs will retain their original appearance wash after wash, provided of course that you follow the washing and brushing instructions. If you can’t afford to spend a lot of time styling your hair, a synthetic wig may be the most practical option. Color Human hair wigs are only available in natural hair colors. However, it does not always mean that a blonde wig comes from naturally blonde hair or a brown wig from naturally brown hair.

In fact, most natural wigs are made from black hair which is then appropriately processed to create the various shades and styles of natural wigs found on the market today. brown, blond, red, gray or black. Synthetic wigs, on the other hand, come in a much wider range of shades outside of the typical hair spectrum. For example, if you see someone wearing a pink, purple, or blue wig, you can make sure it’s made out of synthetic hair fibers, not natural ones.
