Public School‘s designers have taken home another prestigious trophy just over a month after being awarded the 2014 CFDA prize for ‘Menswear Designer of the Year’ where they beat fellow New Yorkers Thom Browne, and Marcus Wainwright and David Neville of Rag & Bone.

Now their streetwear-inspired luxury pieces have seen the duo pick up first place in the menswear category at the US leg of the Woolmark Prize for 2014/15 which rewards designers for their innovative use of the natural fiber.

“Working with wool and all of its natural benefits has been instrumental in developing the trans-seasonality and versatility of our own collection and it’s going to really help jumpstart our knitwear business,” said Chow and Osborne.

Marcia Patmos of M. Patmos won in the womenswear category and will join Public School as the US representatives at the international Woolmark finals alongside fellow designers from Asia, Europe, Australia, and the Middle East and India. The five menswear finalists will meet at the London Collections: Men in January 2015 and the five womenswear finalists will meet in Beijing in March 2015.

The judging panel included Alexander Wang, Stefano Tonchi (the Editor-in-Chief of W Magazine), and Woolmark’s Michelle Lee among others.
