Comptoir des Cotonniers & Princesse tam.tam set to debut in China

Fast Retailing has announced a 86,000-square-foot (7990-square-meter) multi-brand complex in Shanghai set to accommodate the first Chinese stores from casualwear brand Comptoir des Cotonniers and lingerie label Princesse tam.tam. These stores will be joined by two Japanese stores also making their debut in China: low-cost specialists GU and womenswear label PLST.

Princesse tam.tam and Comptoir des Cotonniers were both originally founded in France and between them now boast around 520 locations around the world. The four stores will open in the same building as the Shanghai Uniqlo global flagship, which is scheduled to open this fall.

In July, Uniqlo, also a Fast Retailing brand, will open its first stores in Dhaka, Bangladesh in cooperation with the Grameen Healthcare Trust. The two stores in the Bangladeshi capital will cater to local workers, offering low-priced items made from locally sourced materials (items range from US $2.50 to $15.50).
