Quatrefoil

Quatrefoil is Latin for ‘Four leaves.’ The shape is very popular in art, architecture and Christian symbolism and is quite similar to a clover shape. This shape is then repeated to form a Quatrefoil pattern and is available in many different variations, colours, repeats and is usually printed onto the finished piece of fabric afterwards as it can be quite elaborate.
