Agilon

Agilon is a nylon fabric with some stretch to it. It is strong, durable and easy to care for. Its primary application is in stockings and it is therefore knotted on a circular machine. This particular fabric is quite outdated and has been replaced with more modern nylon equivalents. Agilon is nowadays found mostly in vintage stockings. Agilon was developed in the 1950’s as a first nylon fabric to include some stretch. The term ‘Agilon’ is sometimes still used to describe the more modern fibre used in stockings, however it was entirely replaced in the 1960’s.
