Christopher Kane Women Spring Summer 2016 – Christopher Kane’s ‘Crash and Repair’ collection draws upon destruction to create something new. A mash up of various techniques were used to produce a range which was innovative, inventive and artistic.

Spray paint on fabric was the first technique we were introduced to on deconstructed shift dresses with jagged splits. Accessories included classic Kane style signature buckles on bags and cable ties which were cinched round waists, necks, hair and anywhere else they could be tied!

Acid bright vinyl python trousers were teamed with grungy off shoulder knitwear, wavy trims and colour pop fringing lifted black pieces. Zingy silk dresses featured cut outs with plastic PVC inserts constructed in an almost childlike fashion whilst abstract shapes were joined together in various colours to create camisole dresses with trims of rainbow fringing for the finale

Chris and Tammy have created a fantastic Spring Summer collection which is contemporary, recognisable and uniquely chic, in true Kane style.
