Jenny Packham

Spring-Summer 2015 – If the brief were to make a show personify glamour, then Jenny Packham achieved that and more. Taking inspiration from Marilyn Monroe, Hollywood glam simply oozed out of every look.

Bringing retro 40’s looks into the present by employing on trend graphic prints and embroidery, looks ranged from grandiose evening gowns covered in flowers to sleek sequinned jumpsuits. A beautiful spectrum of colour, opening with lavender and transitioning into scarlet, flamingo pink, maroon and royal blue every luxurious colour was represented and then accented with intricate embroidery, prints and tailoring.

The strongest looks featured near the end, with the expected muted pastel yellow and blue, but utilised in gorgeous evening gowns draped in sequins and mixed with graphic prints. Intense detail stepped up what may have otherwise been forgettable pieces and transported them into covetable territory.
