Spring-Summer 2014 – When the iconic ‘bandage dress’, the silhouette that screams sex appeal, is the foundation for a leading fashion houses’ collection: it makes one wonder, what’s next? Nevertheless, an impressive number of designs were crafted while Lubov Azria stretched the bandage dress in new directions. Whilst evoking the labels signature couture techniques, avoiding sportier fabrics in favour for embellishment and contouring lines, hard-edged elements with graphical prints toughened this spring/summer 14 collection.

Zippers lined up the front, around the bodice and edging the ruffles of peplums and godet skirts contrasted with feminine eyelet skirts that peeked through and swished underneath whilst gracing the catwalk. The finer details played an important part; subtle superhero and wasp styled belts toughened the subdued colour palette. Interests peeked with a cool sleeveless hoodie bringing an athletic feel to the body conscious aesthetic: a sure to be lusted collection for the evening temptress.
