Tom Ford

Autumn-Winter 2014/15 – Proving that you don’t need metallics or a heavy selection of knitwear to create an AW collection was Tom Ford at this year’s London Fashion Week.

Fur was at the centre of this collection with tiger print and loud purple making up just some of the many variations present.

Alongside the array of different furs was chic, loose fitted, swing tailoring adding a clear androgynous theme to the collection. With his excessive display of high rise collars, Tom Ford added further proof that this neck warming trend is set to be huge this AW.

Aside from the colours provided by the varying animal prints and furs, the colour palette remained fairly monochrome and therefore added a classic, timeless feel to the collection. However, the striking red snake skin dress added variety to the range and gave the collection an extra dosage of ‘wow factor’.

With his latest AW14 ready-to-wear collection Tom Ford proved once again that he works best when he’s at his simplest. His line was chic, timeless and, in that respect, remained unparalleled by the other collections showcased this season.
