Marni

Autumn-Winter 2014/15 – Interesting.. In a word.

Without a doubt, you will be kept warm in this line; heavy fur, oversized two-piece outfits and layers makes a comfortable yet different take on alternative clothing.

Although there is no set, running theme of this collection, the dark colours of forest green, beiges, browns and reds replicate the colours seen throughout autumn; there is also the added touches of more natural essences in terms of feathers and fur.

Peplum has returned! An extremely flattering idea for most women, covers hips when you need it too and accentuate shape for the slimmer figures. Layering with peplum can sometimes be tricky but Marni has no trouble as you make it into a matching pant suit and you’ve got yourself an all-in-one!!

This line also reminds me of the 1970’s into 80’s, the psychedlic/ hippy era, longlined skirts with heavy knit wear and chunky outerwear, the ultimate cosy combination.
