Frankie Morello

Autumn-Winter 2014/15 – On a completely different side of the scale; comes the calming and elegant styles of Frankie Morello.

There is a strong aura of oriental tones with fine art detailing, this feature is blended with sheer white and black materials, which makes the line appear fragile and comfortable.

Monochrome is a style that can never be faulted, the added extra detailing of sheer material adds a little something extra and invokes more structure. Navy compliments the white against the harshness of the black.

Footwear combines the idea of ‘Goth’ with stability. Chunky flats signify masculinity whilst the accessories of calf length hold ups remind us of the femininity of the line. It is almost as if Morello is attempting to make us view things in reverse, the bottom up instead of the top down. The layering of the skirts reinforces this as the main focus of the outfit is where the eye hits first.
