Alexis Mabille

Autumn-Winter 2013/14

Alexis Mabille launched his house in 2005 and has been finding favour with the fashion industry ever since. The designer is famous for his love of and focus on unisex clothing, employing the design philosophy of everyone being able to look good in the same clothes. His latest collection had distinct elements of unisex wear as it resisted from being overtly feminine, but it was also a very stylish, and elegant set of designs.

The collection was built around neutral hues, mostly grey and blue with occasional inclusions of red and white. There was also a clear emphasis on tailoring as precisely cut jackets and billowing shirts came down the catwalk. One of the more beautiful elements of the collection was the use of embellishment, though not frequent, appearances of beading took the designs up a notch.
