Paul Costelloe

Paul Costelloe Women Spring Summer 2016 – Paul’s neon ladies started the show with a citrus burst. Super short sixties style hemlines came swinging down the runway in bright oranges and greens. Funnel necklines, cut out panels and asymmetric pockets showcased the quirky youthfulness that the brand is famed for. The voluminous miniskirts made for interesting silhouettes that threw back to a retro era but still managed to look fresh and current.

Brights turned into sickly sweet pastels in shades of pink and blue for princess cut coats and silky short rompers. If the tiered skirts and lilac dresses fail to indulge every girlish whim then baby doll dresses and angel sleeved tops surely will. To complete the show, some blue florals and metallic brocade to add a touch of playful glamour.

Beehive hair and feline flicks of eyeliner added to the vintage feel whilst chunky heeled high top trainers definitely felt like a reference to more current trends.

Paul has succeeded in another creative, beautiful and very wearable collection which will have us happily reaching for the retro sunglasses.
