Calvin Klein

Spring-Summer 2014 – With the Calvin Klein collection this season there is a definite colour palette. Everything is a shade of blue, from pastel blue to cobalt to a deep indigo. And many of these outfits use as many of these different tones as possible in the form of colour blocking. The collar, cuffs, sleeves and the front are each a different blue. The garments themselves range from at the beginning show being quite casual with sweatshirts, shorts jackets and leather jackets and gilets to much more formal suits where the whole suit, the shirt and the tie are all the same colour. Patterns of blue skies are also used to portray the season that it is aimed at and the addition of the sunsets in rich shades of fiery reds and oranges is a really dramatic contrast which brings the whole collection together.
