Autumn-Winter 2011/12 – In true Vivienne Westwood style this collection was comical, and by that I mean like a comic and also humorous. The model wearing blood red lipstick was less of a reference to her punk rock style and more a nod to the comically eerie, like Beetlejuice, who also popped into my head when I saw her black and grey striped jacket. A beautiful black tux with a paisley bow tie and blue belt to match the blue and red shoes brings a comical aspect to a chic look.  There were so many different looks in this collection it was almost like a classroom of different personalities, mixing what could be vintage with modern, classic and extraordinary. Like the high top cow print trainers and clown like oversized, tartan trousers held up high with bracers with a striped shirt could have been the class clown, the checked jacket and grey trousers, brainy teacher’s pet, the slick power suits, trust fund brat. There were chic gangster outfits with baggy trousers and serious student looks with a roll neck jumper, high-waisted trousers and thick glasses. Class of autumn winter 2011.
