Issey Miyake Men

Issey Miyake Men Autumn-Winter 2016-17 – Issey Miyake opened the first show of Thursday 21st of January in Paris fashion week with a wilderness theme.

The grey catwalk incorporated a dried bush at the centre, but the collection itself presents a comfortable trend with a good number of looks also betting the winter season. The collection presents a transition between two seasons, which are winter and spring.

The apparel made for comfort includes a wide range of light wet suit coordinated pieces made from light fabrics, comfortable enough to be for the beach and also lessening to wear. Shorts, t-shirts, smart trousers, long coats and everything expected for everyday wear are showcased within this collection.

Although the designer has brought us back to the wilderness, the collection hasn’t failed to showcase a touch of Japanese craft arts on the designs as it includes a number of knitted tracksuit coordinate pieces which were lightly accessorised with modern looking tokin hats and cool colourful shades.

Issey Miyake’s inspiration behind the collection was to create pieces for normal men using startling graphic input on the designs such as geometrics, abstracts, airbrushed patterns and prints combined with bright colours.

Blue, yellow, red, purple and other bright colours were highlighted and the collection satisfies all the knitwear desires imaginable.
