Giorgio Armani Privé

Giorgio Armani Privé Haute Couture Autumn-Winter 2016-17In his own words Giorgio Armani strived to create a collection that is both “beautiful” and “exclusive”.  The combination of the over exaggerated shoulders and the tailored jackets is haute couture at its finest, creating clean lines which flatter the figure.  It seems that there are some 60s references hidden in the collection too, with the oversized round sunglasses and the updo. Armani uses prints another 60s staple, adding a slight boldness to his designs.  The bags in the show were small and understated, with ones attention more drawn to the beautiful garments. Armani stuck to simple makeup with the occasional pop of pastel colours such as blue on the eyes and a bold contour.  Using light fabrics like silk and chiffon and pastels with a light feel as well has a graceful, demure quality.
