Emporio Armani

Emporio Armani Woman Autumn-Winter 2017-18 – This season it seems everyone is trading up their heels for comfy, but stylish flats and sneakers. Emporio Armani is the latest brand to carrying on the trend. While was definitely an element for the FW17 collection, there were some extravagant looks. Giorgio Armani had 104 looks to play around with  and boy did he. The palette was black and white, punctuated by flashes of fuchsia, red and royal-blue. While there were bold pieces (think fur coats and sequin dresses), there were many understated pieces that could easily become workwear heroes. Suiting was mightily present — and not just on guys. We love the different cuts for a blazer that were present, illustrating that business doesn’t have to do boring. A new print of florals was also showcased on the runway. They weren’t so dark and romantic that you’d call them winter florals, but they weren’t quite springy either. How they’re fit into the average winter wardrobe may be a bit of a dilemma for people averse to prints in the colder months, but the lace-overlayed dresses certainly made a compelling case for them. There was fun and energy from this collection that has many chances to translate over into real world dressing.
