Agnes B Woman Autumn-Winter 2017-18 – In a collection that left all reminiscing on times gone by, Agnès B illustrated popping colour and a medley of nostalgic pieces.

Vintage inspired items were instrumental in this collection, with a short, blue three-quarter sleeve cardigan allowing room for a slightly balloon sleeve and flowered bow collar; the long extension of the wide band tied elegantly at the front. A yellow and grey skirt suit with a leopard fur collar also gave a 1960s edge, along with a burnt-orange tea-length dress with mustard tights. A rather frumpy look then graced the runway, with an olive-green button-downed skirt sitting against a dark lime blazer and floral shirt; showing that even contrasting patterns and outdated tailoring can still be fashionable.

Suit combinations made up the foundation of the collection, ranging from slim, leather pants matched with a casual printed tee to a masculine, pinstriped number with attached braces, and an almost-sack suit with peak lapel. A black velvet dress with two front-slits and white shawl across the back gave an Old-Hollywood aura, while an ombré skirt and waved, bespattered patterns hinged on a more retro vibe.

Evoking memories from decades long ago, Agnès B’s collection fuses history with a modern outlook to produce a time-capsule of pieces dedicated to an evocative presence.
