Imperial Brocade

Imperial Brocade fabric is a Brocade fabric that is woven with gold or silver yarns. It is produced on a Jacquard Loom. These fabrics are elegant and very delicate. They are also expensive to manufacture, because of the amount of work required. It frequently, has long floats on the reverse of the fabric, making it even more delicate and is usually woven into complex floral patterns. Imperial Brocade is used mainly in dresses, suits and upholstery, depending on the weight of the fabric produced.
