钱包是用于携带货币、信用卡和身份证件的包款，钱包通常是皮质的并且小到适于放进口袋。钱包一物在14世纪时就已被认证，随后派生形成希腊语种的Kibisis，意为神代。从那时起，文艺复兴时钱包就用于盛放硬币和烟具，从20世纪50年代起钱包开始用于装卡。现在钱包有了许多的设计和不同材质，也有了许多专门放置身份证件、卡和钱的设计。
