Paul Smith
Spring-Summer 2015 – Paul Smith has described the style of his collections as ‘classic with a twist’, and this collection certainly was that. Classic British tailoring was present throughout the collection, with feminine twists, such as ankle-length trousers, cropped jackets, pencil and A-line skirts, and the replacement of typical suit fabrics, such as wool, with satin. There was a range of prints present amongst the collection, from thick and thin verticle and horizontal stripes in a variety of colours, to blue floral prints. This collection is elegant and smart, yet an air of casualness runs through the set.
Beige and black sandals were worn by the models who walked the catwalk, bringing a sense of ease to the collection, as did the sunglasses in a range of tints. Large handbags in shades of brown, black, blue and pink also accessorised the look. In terms of beauty, makeup was minimal, and hair was scraped back into a bun, in a centre parting, to highlight the ease and elegance of the collection.
