Spring-Summer 2012 – Trend setters at Bestival and Parklife watch out! Dean and Dan Caten created their own festival and made the clothing to go with it. Notorious for their themed collections (one only needs to reminisce Dean and Dan do the Rocky Horror Show), the catwalk became a festival tent with a stage and camper van before the models trekked out onto the muddied catwalk sporting a Heineken can in hand and UV coloured sunglasses accordingly. So, one was almost certain to expect mini denim shorts and this was so, but it was beaten up denim styled with studded belts and studded jackets. Fringing was in abundance on bags, scarves and on the occasional top for that famous festival bohemian look. Glitter was also potent on tops and around the eyes (a party revelers favourite for any festival). American flags created tops and check shirts were tied around waists, often sporting a beaded bikini underneath. The heavy embellished waistcoats perhaps epitomised this collection. It had a little bit of everything.
