Pringle of Scotland

Pringle of Scotland Woman Autumn-Winter 2016 – Pringle of Scotland’s collection was the first to be designed by its new womenswear Design Director Fran Stringer.

The collection featured knitwear given a sexy edge by the addition of corsets. This was a throwback to the label’s early years as an undergarments maker. Celebrating its Scottish roots, trademark tartan featured in a standout sleeveless dress that would flatter any figure. The brand’s signature Argyll pattern was given a twist in a sweater that appeared to be folded over itself to create a wonderful effect. This went to show just how this brand that has been around since the 1800’s has managed to outlast its peers.

An oversized white sweater that brought an image of a polar bear to mind showed just how well the label understands and plays with proportion to great effect. The standout outfit was a brown wool mix dress with pleated sides that created a beautiful silhouette. A great first debut by Fran Stringer.
