Michael Kors

Michael Kors Woman Autumn-Winter 2017-18 – Michael Kors used phrases like ‘tonal textures’ and ‘urban glamour’ on Twitter to describe was proved to be a classic, perhaps even safe collection. He stuck to a mostly neutral colour scheme, think beige, camel, khaki and cream, some black and grey, and a few head to toe sparkly or foil material looks.

The theme for the womenswear and the menswear seemed to be power dressing, a dramatic theme which was certainly reflected in the life orchestra playing an urgent, repetitive tune. Female models wore wide shouldered jackets, in fitted and oversized tailoring, and thick waist belts were frequently used on wool style dresses to create a powerful yet feminine silhouette.

Classic styles such as knitwear jumpers and dresses were given a contemporary twist, with one armed styles where the other arm was wrapped around the model’s neck as a scarf.

Kors injected some glamour into proceedings with oversized fur coats and vests in brown, black and a striking magenta and burgundy, all of which glistened as they went down the runway. Glittered leopard print and silver foil print material garments injected some dimension into the otherwise wool and knit heavy neutral toned collection.
