Spring-Summer 2013 – Rick Owens wanted to strip away and reduce, not being too complicated in order to be anonymous.  Starting with what looked like heavy black items with layers, leg warmers and clog like shoes this looked more like a winter collection but then he moved on to the lighter colours in nylon creating a volume that he loves, a sport like trait that nylon provides for men. With light see through fabrics this collection definitely had something of the feminine, skirts, shorts and heavy gold accessories, platform shoes and long leather bodices, but this gave Ricks man an edge, a sort of arrogant confidence that begrudges anyone who judges him; a characteristic all of us should aspire to.
