Spring-Summer 2011 – Rick Owens Spring summer collection was like a very stylish rave with its hardcore music and industrial setting with a concrete floor and light fittings hanging out of the ceiling.  He showed a lot of leather and PVC, in tops that were zipped up to the chin with an asymmetric but industrial zip, knee high boots with heavy leather coverings large metal cuff like bracelets built on top of each other worn up the arm. The collection was predominantly black and white, dark gothic long jackets and skull caps with veils like a head dress, dark shorts and t-shirts, white vest tops and tank tops, layering of long sleeve tops, skirts, shorts and three quarter sleeved long coats.  One shouldered vest tops and collars pointing outward on one side emphasised the importance of angles and reinforced the industrial feel to this collection seemingly a bit heavy for spring summer.
