Wallpaper Groups

Wallpaper groups is a mathematical classification of a two-dimensional repetitive pattern, based on the symmetries in the pattern. These patterns are very geometric and have a definite repeat. The can also be really brightly coloured, which is the most common but they can also be made just using simple black lines. The different wallpaper groups are categorised by the type of symmetry they use. They are printed onto the fabric after it has been woven.
