Check

Check patterns are patterns which are made up of squares. These can range in scale, colour and repeat, for example Pincheck is a very small repeating checked pattern, whereas Tartan is generally much bigger. Checked patterns frequently use two alternating colours to create a checkerboard effect, but many colours can be used. Check patterns are usually colour woven.
