Etamine

Etamine Fabric is a soft cotton or worsted fabric. It is loosely woven with an open mesh and can be used in many applications such as curtains and in clothing. Etamine is very lightweight and the word ‘Etamine’ originates from the old French language meaning ‘Made of threads.’ It has a slightly glossy texture and because of its openness and transparency it is used extensively in summer clothing. The fabric is usually un-dyed until it has been made into a garment and it can be calendared to achieve an even glossier appearance.
