Woolmark launches new Merino.com e-commerce site

The new site is split into four sections; wool, fashion, lifestyle and shop. Launch content includes a range of articles including a feature on Nick Wooster, the former buyer at Barney’s turned design director at Ralph Lauren and then fashion director at Neiman Marcus. Other featured brand ambassadors include Italian soccer star Alessandro del Piero. 

While the first three sections are pretty informative, it’s the final one which is perhaps the most interesting. The shopping section, powered by ShopStyle, gives you the options of shopping women’s, men’s, kids‘ and homeware sections, and filtering between clothing, bags and shoes. The featured pieces are all in wool, with retail taken care of by click-through options to a wide range of international retailers from mulitbrand e-commerce sites like StyleBop and LuisaViaRoma to specific brand stores like Topshop and James Perse. Our first browse of the shop saw a range of items from an ultra-luxe Valentino wool cape (€9,800) down to simple basics like a Banana Republic sweater for $34.
