Isabelle Huppert has been chosen to be showcased on the Third Annual Women in motion program of global luxury group Kering at 70th Cannes Film Festival held from 17th – 28th May 2017.

François Henri Pinault, the CEO of Kering has historically promoted equality between men and women as the focal point at Kering. A woman in motion program is all about the contribution of woman’s to the film industry, both in front of and behind the camera. In partnership with the Cannes Film Festival, the woman in motion program has given awards each year since 2015 to influential personalities of the young film industry.

Isabelle Huppert won a Golden Globe Award for her performance in “ELLE” by Paul Verhoeven’s. She has won the best actress award twice, once in 1978 for “Voilette Nozière and again in 2001 for “The Piano Teacher”. Kering stated that “Her penetrating gaze dominates the photograph, which draws on the aesthetics of the silver screen in vibrant homage to the power of women in cinema.” And thus she was chosen to represent the program.

In 2016, Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon were the faces of the program, giving the awards for Young Talent to directors Leyla Bouzid, Gaya Jiji and Ida Panahandeh.
