Spring-Summer 2012 – Obviously we expect nothing less than wonderful from Christopher Kane, he’s become a fashion symbol for forward-thinking designs – this time was no exception. Shimmering silver began the collection in skirt and top formation. Next came a leather-look shift dress ornamented with gold and silver, it looked to have a crackled effect and on closer inspection slits of skin were on show. The metallic colours consisted of silver, gold and mint green before a electric blue was thrown into the mix. Metallic skirts were paired with white sleeveless blouses or sleeveless cream cricket jumpers – the latter maybe a strange combination but of course this was Kane, anything works. Aside from the metallic embroidery there were appliqué flowers – some with a glittered periphery, others blossoming without – on skirts, dresses and coats. The encrusted knees on each jean twinkled before deeply encrusted mini-dresses sparkled: clothing to perfection.
