BERLIN BOUND: PAULE KA F/W 2012-13

Posted on

For everyone that is not Caroline Trentini, the only way to look this good while traveling is clearly in Paule Ka. The guru of glamour on the go, Serge Cajfinger reveals his fourth campaign on fashion in transit with his F/W 2012-2013 collection: Berlin bound. Shot by the veteran London-based fashion photographer, Venetia Scott, this Paule Ka series harkens the sixties in thoughtful iterations of oversized sweaters and split skirts – an effort which idolizes the art of traveling. For viewers, the Fall/Winter campaign softly embellishes the high maintenance housewife while provoking the inherent female independence, be it the woman on the go or the woman on the run.

The winter collection escapes the commoner with its most refined materials and muted tones as a backdrop to the mien of Jackie-O and Twiggy. Noting previous Cajfinger destination-themed couture (Palm Springs – S/S 2011; New York – F/W 2011; and his recent Acapulco S/S 2012), the Paule Ka journey lives on and even more luxuriously whether for the A-list traveller, the prim onlooker, or the woman who simply holds the bar high when on the go. Somewhere between the studious and playfulness of Marc Jacobs and the poignancy of classic Chanel, surfaces the French flavor of Maison Serge Cajfinger with his engaging architecture of fashion for F/W 2012/201
