Spring – Summer 2014

At Maison Martin Margiela, the 2014 look was elegant and ladylike with suit pieces paired with removal crystal embroidered sleeves, perfect for a day to night outfit. Influenced by Russia –  rich colours, velvet and corsetry -, the silhouttes were quite fashion forward but still wearable. This is actually the strengh of this collection: clean and masculine lines associated with ultra feminine textures and jewellery-like pieces. The makeup was kept minimal and a touch of silver glitter covered the models’ legs, given a nice highlight.

A special mention to the floor-length jewels encrusted dress that appeared at the end of the défilé.We would die to wear it!

According to Margiela, sequins will be big next season.
