Marchesa

Spring-Summer 2014 – With our eyes adorned by one exquisite gown after another, this preamble typecasts Marchesa as the go-to label for romantically feminine dresses that transform women in luxurious ladies. Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig create garments with a callable destined for the red carpet and this spring/summer ’14 collection is no different.

The duo’s embedded inspiration was flowers mixed with sequins, ribbons, lace and tough love. Pretty pastels, white and champagne dresses wisped down the runway made of feather-light fabrics and entwined with handcrafted, embroidered or printed blooms.

Tight black gowns entwined with lace, tassels and sheer materials made for sinuous silhouettes, galvanised by skin-stained, girlish tattoos: playing up to the vixen roll. As a label known for beauty incorporating heavy brows and purple lips was a flawless decision that oozed sultry temptress: its no wonder Marchesa has a Lip, eye and nail art collaboration with Revlon too.
