Spring-Summer 2011 – Describes himself as the cake and not the icing. This metaphor explains his rudimentary designs. He plays it safe. A white suit is just a white suit. It is not an underlying symbol of inspiration. Thus it is no wonder he left London fashion week for Milan. He is far from unique and innovative. He creates clothing to sell. Therefore his spring summer 2011 collection was nothing out of the ordinary. The collection predominately featured white and black with a touch of red and green. Blazers were team with slim fitted trousers. Sophistication was the core element of this collection. Sheer blouses and silk dresses made perfect clothing for off the catwalk. Equally, the black trench coat and the green biker jacket can be worn with ease. John Richmond is perfect for the sophisticated lady. His spring/summer collection is very consumer friendly. It’s chic, sophisticated and fail safe. From silk blouses to blazers, this collection was designed to sell.
