Julien Macdonald

Autumn-Winter 2014/15 – If anyone knows how to do ‘glamour’ then it’s London’s very own Julien Macdonald. Julien’s latest collection for AW14 was a breathtaking display of detailed craftsmanship, edgy metallics and intricate beading.

As models soared down the runway, each wearing a gown equally if not more impressive than the last, it was clear that this collection was nothing short of ‘show stopping’.

The beading was heavy, the detail was intricate, the panels were sheer and modesty had been spared by a delicate feather or two. The mosaic patterns, heavy sequins and beautiful beading made up a collection that was absolutely to die for.

Equally impressive was the colour palette which combined a variety of shimmering metallics and silvers. The combination of these glittering metallics suited the edgy and heavy embellishment perfectly, further adding to the wow factor already present in the collection.

For anyone looking to make a statement this AW look no further than Julien Macdonald for the inspiration. Off-shoulder, mini, midi or full length, Julien Macdonald’s collection was the epitome of goddess worthy glamour.
