Antonio Berardi

Autumn-Winter 2014/15 – Antonio Berardi had always had a thing for ‘Baroque & Roll’, but with his latest AW14 collection he took his kinky obsession to the extreme.

This was a range that was both contemporary and covetable with its careful attention to fine detail and statement tailoring. Among the shapes present were peplum and full length skirts which each felt underpinned with a romantic, gothic quality.

Adding further intrigue to the collection was the series of provocative wear. As thigh-high boots met plunge detail tops, the subtle flashes of flesh proved ‘seduction’ to be the way forward this season.

Giving the collection its accessibility was the series of structured jackets and tailored pieces. The clean seams and bold cuts added a contemporary feel to the range and further proved this to be an exquisite collection of evening wear.

Although the majority of the collection was made up of monochrome looks, the flashes of shimmering greens and blues added real current to the range.

With his latest collection proving to be one of the most talked about this season, Antonio Berardi’s range embodied hard-hitting tailoring, eye-grabbing detail and remained truly and ultimately lust worthy.
