Autumn-Winter 2013/14

Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli’s latest collection was a lesson in refined and seductive elegance. Though refined and seductive are two looks that are sometimes hard to combine, these designers managed to introduce both elements beautifully. The collection was filled with long sleeved dresses and high necklines, these worked to form highly elegant silhouettes. The pieces were given another element of interest with delicate print work, cut out detailing on shirts and suggestive lace panelling.

Maria and Pierpaolo cite their inspiration for this collection as being portrait artists, specifically Dutch masters and this inspiration could be seen in the prominence given to highlighting the models natural beauty.
