Haider Ackermann

Autumn-Winter 2013/14

This season Haider Ackemann was inspired by the strong women in his life and his collection explored the fragility he has noticed beneath the surface in many of these women.

The designer built his collection on his trademark style of layering clothes, so there was jacket on top of jacket, coats over suits and thick tunics all piled together. The textures he chose were dense, warm and heavy like tweed, wool and leather which when combined with one another in several layers looked playful and exuberant. With all that said this collection was somewhat toned down compared to ones we’ve been before, the designer gave way to an added touch of elegance with ran throughout the designs.
